At USA Truck, we pride ourselves in giving our drivers more. More pay, more benefits and more support when you need it. Not only do we have a great pay rate, but we offer our drivers a comprehensive benefits package designed to help support you when it comes to your health, wellness and the financial necessities of staying covered. There’s no one-size-fits-all insurance package, which is why we offer a number of different services from basic medical coverage to health savings accounts to supplemental insurance programs. Here’s a quick overview of what we offer to USAT drivers:
Medical insurance is available to USAT drivers, their spouses and dependent children. You’ll be able to choose between a high deductible health (HDHP) plan or a preferred provider organization (PPO).
Dental and vision coverage
We provide USAT employees with dental insurance through Delta Dental of Arkansas and a vision service plan (VSP).
HSA and FSA accounts
We’re proud to offer health savings accounts (HSA), flexible spending accounts (FSA), and dependent care flexible spending accounts to our employees. HSAs allow individuals with HDHPs to set aside pre-tax funds in an account. These funds can be used towards eligible medical expenses including your deductibles, co-insurance, prescriptions, vision expenses and dental care. Any unused funds roll over from year to year. For those not enrolled in a HDHP, an FSA is a great option. It’s very similar to an HSA, except any remaining balance does not roll over to the next year. The dependent care FSA allows individuals to set aside pre-tax money to cover eligible child and adult care expenses.
Health and wellness program
As part of our health and wellness programming, USAT employees have access to U.S. board-certified doctors 24/7 through Teladoc. Drivers can make their appointments via phone, video or mobile app. This is an affordable alternative to urgent care and ER visits and drivers can access this option anywhere they are at any time.
We’re also excited to offer drivers an incentive for completing a profile on our wellness portal, filling out a brief questionnaire and biometric screening, and scheduling a session with a health coach. Drivers who complete these steps can receive $600 in premium credits each year.
At USAT, we provide $50,000 of basic life and accidental death coverage at no cost to our employees. However, you’ll also have the ability to purchase additional life and accidental death policies for yourself as well as your spouse and dependent children.
Our employees are able to purchase short and/or long-term disability insurance, accident insurance and critical illness insurance. These supplemental insurances are designed to help you navigate some of the more unexpected and difficult times by keeping you protected financially.
Other USAT benefits include our 401k plan, legal and identity protection services, employee assistance plan (EAP) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP).
