USA TRUCK RECOGNIZES ITS STARS OF SAFETY AT ANNUAL BANQUET

Since safety is our highest priority and most precious responsibility as a company, USA Truck takes great pride in recognizing our professional truck drivers and independent contractors who embody this value.

On Friday, April 1, 2022, we held our Stars of Safety Driver Recognition Banquet at the Choctaw Casino Resort, in Pocola, Okla., where we celebrated new inductees into our Mileage Milestone membership as well as current members who achieved additional mileage or performance milestones. Also at the banquet, USA Truck remembered the 29 drivers who passed away in 2021.

To be eligible for induction into the Stars of Safety, a driver must have driven one million collision-free miles with at least 250,000 collision-free miles with USA Truck. Our six new one-million-mile inductees are: Sean Bailey, Raul Zamarripa (military veteran), Ronald Riley, Stephen Watkins, Terence Thomas, and Christine Alford (military veteran). We also recognized five drivers or operators who achieved three million safe miles; 23 drivers or operators who achieved two million safe miles; and 44 drivers or operators who achieved one million safe miles. Many of these members are military veterans we are proud chose to join USA Truck.

The big finale of the evening included recognition of the following award winners: 2021 Dedicated Driver of the Year - Robert Ramsey; 2021 Truckload Driver of the Year - Donny Keys; and 2021 Independent Contractor of the Year - David Brooks; and, 2021 P&G Driver of the Year --Remmy Marlow.

USA Truck presented each Driver of the Year with generous cash prizes for their accomplishments.

Awards were also given to: 2021 Dedicated Fuel-Efficient Driver of the Year - William Wilson; 2021 Truckload Fuel-Efficient Driver of the Year - Rayon Porter; and 2021 Trainer of the Year- Haime Carolina.

The company’s highest honor went to John Johnson as the recipient of the 4th Annual President’s Award presented by USA Truck CEO James Reed. “John Johnson truly embodies our values of safety, accountability, trust, integrity and teamwork,” Reed said. “I am honored to celebrate commitment to excellence and am so proud he’s on our team. “Because of drivers like John and the rest of our honorees and inductees, this country has survived a global pandemic, economic crises, and worldwide upheaval. We thank them and applaud their important work.”
