What you need to know about USA Truck’s updated Per Diem plan

At USA Truck, our goal is always to provide our drivers with a great place to work, competitive pay and benefits packages, and the support you need to succeed in your career. We review driver pay on a regular basis in an effort to ensure our drivers are getting compensated for all of their hard work. To help provide a significant increase in take home pay for our drivers and their families, we will be updating our Per Diem plan in January 2021. This update not only includes an increase in per diem pay rate, but it also reduces the administrative cost to drivers for participating in the per diem program. Both changes will increase drivers’ take-home pay and reaches the IRS level of $66 per day available to drivers when they are on the road.

Under the updated plan, our per diem rates will increase:

We’ve partnered with FleetFlo, giving our drivers access to their intuitive per diem calculator. It is free to use and your driver manager has been trained to help you. USA Truck drivers not currently enrolled in our Per Diem plan can opt in before December 28, 2020, by going to Ascentis self-service and selecting YES for per diem.

We’re excited to increase our drivers’ take-home pay with this updated Per Diem plan. Other recent changes to our pay and benefits packages include additional options and health benefits as well as an increase in company-provided life insurance back in November.
